Mission
The mission of the Bylaws Committee of the Fire Apparatus Manufacturers' Association (FAMA) is to maintain the associations bylaws in an efficient, effective and workable condition.
Objectives
To react quickly to correct any verbiage in the bylaws which prevents the association from fulfilling it's mission.
To add to, delete from or alter our bylaws as necessary to protect the association from any external or internal threat.
To insure the bylaws meet all legal requirements for this type of association (corporation).
To protect the image of our association, if necessary by revising the bylaws.
To review the bylaws mission principles in a timely fashion and make recommendations for change as necessary. To utilize the available FAMA committees and membership to further the goal of this committee, and to attempt the aggressive promotion of making the Association fund support to worthy candidates now pursuing or who will be making pursuit of education to benefit the Fire Service specifically.

Mission
The mission of the scholarship committee is to support and recognize fire protection engineering universities; in addition, cooperate with other FAMA committees on various on going research projects.
Goals
Our goals are to reinforce our relationship with noted universities, thus supporting worthy fire protection students; and provide our membership with supplementary research data when required.
Objectives
The committee will cooperate with OKLAHOMA STATE UNIVERSITY, UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND, AND EASTERN KENTUCKY UNIVERSITY in providing one (1) $3,000 scholarship. One scholarship from the applicants from the three (3) universities. The scholarship winner's data and photos will be sent to the FAMA public relations committee.
Grant Fund Subcommittee
Mission Statement
To financially support projects and research that seek to reduce the loss of lives and property within the Fire Service.
Objectives
1. To utilize the FAMA membership and other methods to notify various colleges, universities, organizations, groups, individuals and the fire service of available FAMA grants.
2. Review all grant applications and recommend action to the FAMA Board.

Mission
The mission of the Governmental Affairs Committee is to be the primary vehicle through which FAMA will establish and maintain the reputation as a leader and strategic partner at the federal government level as it relates to Emergency Rescue, Fire Apparatus, and Homeland Security.
Objectives
1. Monitoring and disseminating potential and enacted legislation to all FAMA members
2. Monitoring and disseminating emergency-rescue data and reports as they are released to all FAMA members
3. Working with and providing to the FAMA board and legal council:
a. Data
b. Potential consequences
c. Recommendations and options as they relate to potential legislation
4. Maintaining a strategic partnership with other organizations as we deem appropriate (e.g., CFSI) and disseminating the information to all FAMA members
5. Developing an annual operating budget, funding plan, and strategic plan
6. Interacting with the appropriate legislative and administrative agencies of the federal government
7. Pursuing only those issues that are non-competitive (affect all FAMA members) in nature
8. Develop a communications vehicle/network within FAMA and the appropriate associations
9. Ensuring all activities of the Governmental Affairs Committee support the mission of FAMA

The mission of the Long Range Planning Committee is to provide direction for the future of the FAMA organization by developing a five-year plan identifying long-term goals and objectives and updating the plan on an annual basis.
Objectives
Provide consistency and continuity of purpose for the Association.
Update Association mission statement and objectives to align with long-term goals and objectives.
Identify membership and organizational issues that will impact the Association in the long term.
Develop long-term goals and objectives that will give the Association a focus that spans the year-to-year operations of the Association.

Mission
Mission of the Public Relations Committee is to strengthen FAMA's image throughout the Association's constituencies. The Public Relations Committee will also provide assistance to the FAMA Board of Directors and members in their efforts in communicating FAMA's mission, programs, policies, events, and successes throughout the fire service industry.
Objectives
To help promote FAMA at industry-wide meetings, conventions, exhibitions, and other appropriate places.
To provide suitable collateral materials for all FAMA promotions, marketing, and membership drives.
To provide assistance and coordination for FAMA speakers and presentations.
To provide press releases for all significant FAMA activities, meetings, or other events.

Mission Statement
To work closely with the major trade shows in the fire industry to provide feedback and suggestions that will result in adding more value to the FAMA membership while attending the shows.
Objectives
Solicit feedback from the FAMA membership on suggestions to improve specific trade shows, schedule formal meetings with the trade show representatives and share those suggestions.
Invite trade show representative to the annual fall FAMA meeting; allow each to present the summary of the last trade show and plans for the next trade show to the general FAMA membership.
Research opportunities to obtain sponsorships with trade show organizations that will benefit both parties and present the sponsorship opportunities to the FAMA Board.

Mission
The mission of the Meeting Planning Committee shall be to strengthen the FAMA organization, enhance FAMA's service to its membership and the industry and further the goals and objectives of FAMA through coordinating the planning and implementation of the Spring and Fall Annual Meetings.

The mission of the Membership Committee is to build and strengthen the membership of FAMA by seeking out and signing manufacturers and companies with prime interest in and dedication to, the betterment of the fire service and the fire service industry. We will seek to build membership through those companies who can benefit from their membership in FAMA, and further the goals and missions of FAMA through their contributions to the organization.

The Goal of the Nominating Committee is to submit to the Board of Directors one or more candidates for the Director-at-large position and one or more candidates for the position of Treasurer. The Director-at-large and Treasurer positions would normally rotate between apparatus manufacturer and equipment manufacturer each year to maintain a balance on the board.

Mission
The mission of the Statistics Committee of the Fire Apparatus Manufacturers' Association (FAMA) is to further the collection of data.
Objective
The goal of this committee is to gather data of vital interest to FAMA members.
All the participants send this information to an independent accounting firm that then totals the various inputs.
These totals are sent to all firms that participated in the survey as well as all FAMA members.

Mission Statement:
To research, recommend and represent member organizations on technical issues related to the manufacture of fire apparatus with the goal of constant improvement to product and safety for the end user. This shall be done in a manner consistent with anti-trust regulations.
