FAMA Grants

The Fire Apparatus Manufacturers' Association (FAMA) has been a long-term sponsor of annual Grant funding to support projects and individuals focused on improving the safety of others across the country.  Please be advised of a recent change in this program.

In response to funding challenges currently experienced by the fire service, FAMA is suspending the Grant program for 2009.  Instead, program monies will be used to help ensure that federal funds continue to be allocated to upgrading the fire service, including apparatus, equipment and training, that is so necessary for the protection of our fire fighters and the communities they serve.  FAMA continues to recognize the contributions of fire colleges and their graduates, and looks forward to reinstating the Grant program when the necessary funding for the fire service has been resolved.

If you have any specific questions in this regard, please feel free to contact our association office at info@fama.org.

Sincerely,

Paul Carpenter, Acting Chair
FAMA Education Committee
